
Ironman Class action over refunds
As expected and hinted at yesterday, Ironman is now subject to a class action lawsuit over not offering refunds to it’s events cancelled or postponed due to COVID-19.
A suit filed in the Middle District of Florida claims the companies did not offer refunds after Covid-19 forced cancellations and postponements for many of their Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon races.
Currently only reported on the Tampa Bay Biz Journal, which is paywalled, expect more news soon. Update to follow.

The Ironman Race Class Action Lawsuit is Mikaela Ellenwood v. World Triathlon Corporation, et al., Case No. 8:20-cv-01182, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
